We are incredibly proud to share the latest project from this amazing brand—Rare Character Limited Release. “RCLR” is the most ambitious launch from Rare Character to date. This Limited Batch Bourbon is a marriage of some of the finest barrels they have encountered in their journeys through the rickhouses of America—a combination of flavor profiles that achieves greater complexity, depth, and flavor together than on their own.
The blending process for this Rare Character Limited Release is a true art form. For Batch #1, they began with a foundation of 5.5-15 year Kentucky-distilled straight wheated bourbon whiskey & Kentucky straight rye bourbon whiskey. This careful process allowed them to maintain consistency and highlight the sweet, dessert-like qualities of the wheat bourbon, while balancing it with oak, tannins, and a cask strength of 113 proof.
