RARETEQUILAS.COM is not the seller of the alcoholic beverages, distilled spirits, or any other alcoholic beverages being sold. We are a platform that allows a highly respected and reputable independent liquor store sell their alcoholic beverages online. Every alcoholic beverage purchased on RARETEQUILAS.COM is sold by a partner liquor store using their liquor license. In-store pickups are available by visiting their physical location.
By ordering from RARETEQUILAS.COM you agree to the following terms:
ALL ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES PURCHASED FROM RARETEQUILAS.COM ARE SOLD IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA AND TITLE PASSES TO THE BUYER IN CALIFORNIA. RARETEQUILAS.COM makes no representation to the legal rights of anyone to ship or import alcoholic beverages into any state outside of California. The buyer is solely responsible for the shipment of alcoholic beverage products. By placing the order, the buyer authorizes RARETEQUILAS.COM to act on the buyer's behalf to engage a common carrier to deliver the buyer's order from a legal liquor store in the state of California.
As a buyer, you are responsible for complying with the laws in the state where you reside regarding shipping as well as any applicable excise, use, and sales taxes. Due to state laws, alcohol can be purchased only by adults 21 years and older. Drinking alcohol may increase risk for cancer, and, during pregnancy, can cause birth defects.
Non-California residents are responsible for determining if their state or county laws allow alcohol products to be shipped into their state or county. Each state or county has their own laws and regulations related to these products. Please check with your appropriate agencies. Each individual accepts full responsibility for their state verification.
All products are sold in California, with TITLE passing to the buyer in California before shipment.
All California residents are subject to sales tax.
Shipping: We cannot guarantee or estimate delivery dates or times, depending on the shipper used for your state some deliveries can take longer to arrive. Upon Delivery, an adult of the age of 21+ must be present to take delivery, if a person of the age of 21+ is not present, the delivery will be re-attempted two more times before being returned back to us. If delivery is unsuccessful due to the customer refusing the package or being unavailable to sign for the package after three attempts, they will be refunded for the cost of the product, minus the cost of shipping and an additional $15 return to shipper fee. Once the package is shipped, we have no control over the shipper, please contact them for tracking updates and any issues with the package. If a bottle is damaged or lost in transit, contact us at sales@raretequilas.com and we will assist you in getting a replacement or refund.
Order Processing Times
- Orders are processed and shipped Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
- Standard orders are typically processed within 1-2 business days.
- Expedited orders (such as UPS Next Day Air and 2nd Day Air) are prioritized and processed within the required timeframe to meet shipping deadlines.
Expedited Shipping
For customers selecting expedited shipping options like UPS Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air:
- We fulfill all orders within the required shipping window outlined by the carrier (UPS or other).
- Once we hand over your package to the shipping carrier, any delays due to external factors, including but not limited to weather conditions, natural disasters, or other unforeseen events, are beyond our control.
- It is the customer's responsibility to be aware of any potential weather-related or situational delays when selecting expedited shipping options.
We will not be able to provide refunds for expedited shipping in cases where the carrier is unable to deliver within the expected timeframe due to circumstances beyond our control, such as weather delays.
Shipping Costs
- The shipping costs displayed on our website are estimates. In some cases, we may pay more than the estimated cost to ensure timely delivery. We do not pass these additional costs on to the customer.
- Shipping fees are non-refundable once the order has been processed and dispatched, as long as we have met the obligations for the selected shipping method.
Delivery Times and Tracking
- Delivery times vary based on the shipping method chosen at checkout. Estimated delivery times will be provided upon selecting a shipping option.
- Once your order has shipped, you will receive a tracking number via email to monitor your package’s status.
We are not responsible for manufacturer defects such as faulty seals, corks that are held together by glue, or minor defects to the bottle. Our primary focus is getting the bottle undamaged to you, unfortunately when it comes to hand-made bottles and corks, there will always be imperfections, and we cannot control or guarantee the quality or condition of those.
Alcohol cannot be purchased by anybody under the age of 21. Person who delivers will require proof of age with an adult signature. If these circumstances are not met, alcohol will be returned to the return address. Shipper will try multiple times to deliver. Returned products are subject to a fee.
Distilled spirits can only be shipped to the states which allow the delivery of them.
