Mexa Tahona Blanco Tequila is bottled at 48 Proof, and is a collaborative project with Marco Jauregui, a fourth-generation tequila producer whose ancestors started
farming agaves in the lowlands of Jalisco in the early 1900's.
This project involves using a traditional tahona to crush the agave and extract the juice. The use of the Tahona method is a rare and traditional practice that results in tequila with a unique flavor profile that sets it apart from less traditional tequilas.
