I got it on a good sale and it was worth every penny!

Having had plenty of blue XR and some other various 12-18yr whiskies this is definitely Not worth the price. It has a very nice presentation, fancy box, bag and bottle. The aroma from the bottle is interesting. It was a lot stronger on the Apple scent then I was anticipating for a "23" year, however, it was at least not as sweet or artificial smelling as regular crown apple. It did go down smooth and there was a decent apple flavor right away.
In my humble opinion this is a less artificial tasting crown apple that probably had someone take a pipettes worth of 23 year whiskey and add it to this so they could claim it.
Overall it is not worth the price, maybe at half the price but then it would be competitive towards XR, which this is nowhere near as good.
