Mexa Ancestral Blanco Tequila is a collaborative project with Marco Jauregui, a fourth-generation tequila producer whose ancestors started farming agaves in the lowlands of Jalisco in the early 1900s. We aimed to revive some of the ancient techniques employed by the first tequileros, including the use of the floor conical oven and the tahona to restore the original flavors of the spirit.
